Tufted Puffin

Low tides are a great time to see Tufted Puffins on Haystack Rock. They tend to be high up on the rock, in the grassy area on the N side, but today there were also some on the NE side. A group of 8 was visible at the same time in one spot, and many were flying around the rock and back and forth out over the ocean.

This photo was taken from the same spot as the first photo, but with the camera un-zoomed. Another example of why I like the super-zoom camera so much.
