McKay's Bunting

Similar in appearance to a Snow Bunting, but has a very pale rump; mantle has thin black streaks on white background but no cinnamon color; not much black in tail. May be a first-winter female.
Mike Patterson reported 2 days earlier on OBOL that he had seen an "interestingly pale bunting"; Steve Warner and I re-located lightest bird in a flock of about 60 Snow Buntings, on Gearhart beach, 1 mile south of Del Rey beach access.
